The weather is perfect for enjoying all the city has to offer, from its world-class museums to its beautiful parks and gardens.

One of the best things about Parliament Hill is that it’s free to visit!

You can take guided tours of the Parliament buildings, learn about Canadian history at the on-site museums, and see the changing of the guard (a must-see!).

2. Changing of the Guard

The changing of the guard ceremony is one of the most popular things to do on Parliament Hill.

It takes place every day at 10 am from late June until early September.

Make sure you get there early to get a good spot!

3. Supreme Court of Canada

The Supreme Court of Canada is another top attraction on Parliament Hill.

You can take a free tour of the court, which includes learning about the role of the court in Canadian society and observing a mock hearing.

I love picnicking in the front garden of the courthouse. In fact, it’s the first place I took my puppy in Ottawa to let him run around!
