Ziplining Over the Ottawa River on Interzip Rogers
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to soar across the Ottawa River, swept up in its lush nature and lively city life in under two hours?

Try out Interzip Rogers, the 120-foot tall zip line that bridges Ottawa and Gatineau.
I visited with my roommate shakily in tow to try it out just after the zip line opened in 2021. I’m a huge fan of ziplines so I was so excited to find one in my backyard! It was such a rush, and a great way to spend a day before going out for some burgers downtown.
To properly prepare for an exciting day of gliding, later sections of this article include places for sightseeing, booking availability, policies and procedures, and other special features that promise you quite the adventure!
What is the Interzip Rogers?
Standing at 120 feet above sea level with two 1,200 foot-long steel cables, the outdoor zip line flies you from Québec to Ontario with overhead sights of the National Capital Region.
You’ll be treated to a 360-degree view of well-known attractions in the region such as Downtown Gatineau, Chaudière Falls, and Parliament Hill.
Your ride begins and ends at Zibi, which is situated on the Ottawa-Gatineau border.
Where is the Ottawa Zip Line?
Fliers go to the reception office at the Zibi site, which is on 40 rue Jos-Montferrand Street, Gatineau, QC, J8X 0C2.
On-site parking is available, though limited. Visit this map for other parking spaces near Zibi.
After checking in, you then walk to the launch tower on Chaudière Island, which is on the Ottawa side of Zibi.
You must arrive approximately 30 to 45 minutes in advance to receive your safety instructions.
How Much is the Zip Line in Ottawa?
Tickets cost $45.98 CAD for adults and $34.48 CAD for children.
If you are a customer with any of Interzip Rogers’s partners, you will receive a discount on your reservation.

How Long is the Ottawa Gatineau Zip Line?
The zip line has two 1,200 foot-long steel cables that fly riders from Gatineau into Ottawa and back to the border at the Zibi area when the journey is complete.
It offers riders a panoramic view of notable places in this metropolitan area, including Downtown Gatineau, the Chaudière Falls in central Ottawa-Gatineau, and Parliament Hill in Downtown Ottawa.
Important Information About the World’s First Interprovincial Zip Line
Is there a Minimum Age for Admission?
Interzip Rogers has no specific age restrictions in place.
If you are under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must sign your release form prior to zip lining.
Why are there Mobility Requirements?
The zip line has mobility requirements because there is currently no elevator in the tower. Visitors are also responsible for climbing nine flights of stairs to reach the top without assistance.
It’s pretty high up and I felt my knees aching by the top (I’ve got some joint issues), so be sure you’re prepared to do a few flights of stairs.
Please note that the management team reserves the right to deny you access if you are pregnant, intoxicated, epileptic, hypertensive, missing limbs, and/or have respiratory problems or chronic pain.
What is the Weight Limit?
To ensure a safe experience for everyone using Interzip Rogers’s zip line, the minimum weight is 70 lbs and the maximum weight is 275 lbs. They will weigh you to check this.
You can ask not to see the weight if, like me, you have trouble knowing what you weigh.
How to Buy a Ticket
There are three ways to reserve tickets: online with Visa or Mastercard, by phoning (613) 695-5248, or by booking directly with credit or debit at the reception desk.
While it might be possible to book spots on the same day, you are advised to contact the ticket office about available sessions ahead of time as these change weekly and fill up quickly.
Fridays and Saturdays tend to be the busiest.
You can also ask to be put on a waiting list so that you will be notified with the earliest availability.
If you need to cancel your visit, do so over seven days in advance for a full refund.
Alternatively, you can reschedule your trip for another day in the season as long as you call up to 48 hours prior to your booked time.

How Fast Do You Go?
Depending on the wind speed, you will be travelling anywhere between 40 to 50 km per hour.
Is Zip Lining Safe?
You can rest assured that all zip lining facilities – helmets, harnesses, and other specialized gear – are optimized for security.
You will also be taught additional precautions, such as braking properly, prior to the activity.
Unless the weather conditions are severe, in which case the management team will cancel or delay the schedule, Interzip Rogers is fully operational even when it is raining outside.
Dress appropriately for the day and wear closed toe shoes.
